False information
Gold alliance told my wife and I we would have free shipping on our gold and silver through equity trust That is not true we were lied to from gold alliance it cost me over $300.00 to have some of my gold and silver sold back to gold alliance through equity trust. This is a scam we were also lied to about the cost of the fees. DO NOT BUY GOLD OR SILVER FROM GOLD ALLIANCE. We are both done with them and are leaving and going to buy from another company that has proved to us what they say is what you get.

The company also has a section for market investment news, precious metals charts, and a Free Metals Learning Kit.

Even after customers purchase precious metals products from the company, they can rely on long-term support from Gold Alliance's senior portfolio management team, access to current educational resources and materials, in addition to ongoing portfolio support.

Gold Alliance Products

Before buying anything, understand the difference between the different types of IRA-eligible coins out there (e.g. bullion, proof, uncirculated, etc are NOT the same).

Gold Alliance offers an array of IRA-eligible gold and silver coins and bars in various weights. Some of the popular selections of coins include the Gold American Eagle in either one ounce, 1/2 ounce, or 1/4 ounce form. Gold bars come in either one ounce or 10-ounce options. For silver products, the company offers the Silver American Eagle, Silver Round Sunshine, and Silver Canadian Maple Leaf, all in one-ounce form. There are 10-ounce and 100-ounce silver bars also available. Additionally, for collectors, Gold Alliance offers an extensive selection of premium gold and silver coins.

Unfortunately, there is a complete lack of pricing transparency on the company website – potential customers must call the toll-free number to speak with a representative to inquire about the pricing of all available products. Obviously, this tactic does not allow for easy price comparisons with other precious metals websites.

Premium Coins vs Standard Bullion Coins – Understanding the Difference

Including IRS-approved coins in your self-directed IRA is an excellent retirement strategy, yet can be overwhelming considering the number of coins available to investors. Before choosing which coins to include in your retirement account, there is an important distinction that needs to be understood between premium coins and standard bullion coins.

Premium Coins

Despite being IRA-approved, premium coins are part of a collectible series issued by mints. These types of coins are deemed semi-numismatic. Premium coins have the same purity as standard bullion coins but are sold at a higher premium because of their limited circulation. At times, some companies charge upwards of a 25% markup.

Standard Bullion Coins

Standard bullion coins provide the best investment option for portfolio diversification, not to mention as a hedge against inflation. Some examples of standard bullion coins include the Canadian Maple Leaf, the American Eagle, and the Austrian Philharmonic. These types of coins are typically 99.99% pure, and investors are charged a lower premium. Therefore, more gold for your buck.

Below is a comparison chart to give you a better understanding of the available types of coins.

Gold Alliance Review Conclusion: Is This Service Worth It?

In general, Gold Alliance is driven by its main objective to provide excellent customer service. It provides customers with the option between three different IRA custodians: Equity Trust Company, Preferred Trust Company, and GoldStar Trust Company. In addition, the esteemed Delaware Depository provides secure vault storage options.

This company is a great choice for novice investors in the Precious Metals IRA space. Gold Alliance offers many IRA-approved coins and bars in its inventory. Additionally, the company provides a wealth of resources to keep you informed about investing in precious metals and adding them to your eligible retirement account.

Review All IRA Options Before Investing

We recommend that you contact at least 2-3 different companies before making an investment decision. Do your due diligence and speak to your financial advisor to determine what allocation of your portfolio you want to dedicate to precious metals. Gold and other precious metals don't pay dividends and aren't as easy to liquidate as stocks and bonds. Make sure you fully understand the pros and cons of this asset class. Precious metals are an insurance policy against a collapse of the dollar and dollar-bound assets like stocks, bonds, and real estate.
