I agree with Dan. This resource needs to be updated in order to be accurate. If you click through the rating links, the ratings are different than the ones stipulated on this page. Looks like the BBB rating is now an A+ and there are actually compliments on the company’s BBB page.

Even thought this company has a BBB of an A+ they are still ripping people off. Recently my grandfather purchased gold from US Money Reserve and was taken for more the 3 times the value of gold. I took the coins he purchased to a gold and coin specialist that verified the value and it was not even close to what he paid. He purchases was for 8 coins with a total weight of gold being 3.7 oz. With the value of gold on the date of purchase being $1,346.70 per oz. that comes out to a total value of $4,982.79 and he was charged $16,223 which is more than 3 times the value of gold. Furthermore this same amount of gold at its highest value in Sept of 2011 was only worth $7,033.15 making this purchase more than twice the highest value of gold ever.

My grandfather was buying gold to give to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren because a few years ago my brother was murdered and my family couldn’t afford the funeral expenses so he tried to get insurance policies for all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren only to find out that he couldn’t do that. Or that’s what he was told. So he decided to buy gold thinking that it will gain in value thus making it a better option for future rewards. His heart was in the right place, but he got taken by US Money Reserve.

I am only giving U.S. Money Reserve a one (1) rating because there is nothing lower. I spoke to Account Executive, Michael Grant, a fast talker who told me I was buying Proof gold 5.5 oz, six (6) coins for less than what it is being sold for per ounce.
It sounded strange so I got off the phone to check gold prices again. When I called back and questioned him he started fast talking again and stated gold that is proof is not priced the same as bullion coins or market prices. It sounded weird but I knew I had to verify the order. Well, thank God because Michael Grant FAILED to mention all the coins I was purchasing were SILVER except for one (1) coin. He tried to fast talk bait and switch the coins. I NEVER STATED I WAS INTERESTED IN SILVER COINS. Michael’s supervisor Alex then got on the phone and admitted Michael mislead me BUT was less apologetic than he should have been. Basically saying that the order was cancelled what’s the big deal. THE BIG DEAL IS THAT IF I HAD NOT BEEN TRULY LISTENING, I WOULD BE OUT OF $2400 ON COINS THAT COULD NOT BE RETURNED. WATCH OUT FOR THESE SLICK BUSINESS MEN. I hope and pray I save someone from being taken for a ride and or mislead.
